Meet Heather Nucifora R.D.

Heather Nucifora, RD, owner of FEED, has made a successful career out of a love for good food and her ability to fit it into REAL life, through healthy cooking and her ability to educate others about it. After years of nutrition education, culinary training, consistently surrounding herself with professionals in the food industry, credible sources of nutrition information and tons of people we like to call “foodies”, there became the concept of FEED. She realized that with her outgoing personality, her ability to relate to people and make them feel comfortable in their surroundings, mixed with the technical skills of cooking, shopping, preparation, organization, she could renew an interest in everyday people to provide for themselves and do so with confidence and ease.

Heather has had many years experience working in clinical nutrition with almost every type of chronic illness, diet related conditions such as Type II diabetes, hypertension, obesity, as well as different age groups. She has directed multiple foodservice organizations, different levels of staff and has proved a credible source for management and leadership from one person to fifty. Previous employers such as Sodexho and Nestle have benefited from her nutrition and culinary background. She has attended courses at culinary institutions such as the Culinary Institute of America in both Hyde Park and St. Helena, The Institute for Culinary Education in Manhattan, Seattle Community Colleges and Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver, B.C.

Most importantly Heather is a person who enjoys her life and created this business so people could do the same, whether it’s through a greater enjoyment of food, or making themselves healthier to allow them to do things perhaps they can’t currently. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing and downhill skiing. Golf and roadbiking have been players recently in her life and have found a greater appreciation of the PNW in doing so. She enjoys fine dining, home cooking with friends and good wine! Her sense of humor and her playlike tendencies make learning comfortable and puts people at ease.
